Music Review: Mr. Igotbars " Dead Presidents" Single Is Bumping

This single starts with a growl. Not a musical one, I mean a literal, low-end rumble that buzzes through your speakers like something's about to break. You wait for it. You know it's coming. And then it does. The 808s hit so hard you'd swear your neighbor just slammed a door. Then the vocals kick in, and suddenly you're not listening to music anymore. You're trying to keep up.
Mr. Igotbars spits like he's got something to prove and someone to prove it to. His flow is relentless, verse after verse of dense, tangled wordplay that rewards repeat listens because you definitely missed half of it the first time. Dude's got bars for days and he's not afraid to use every single one of them.
The production is dirty in the best possible way. It's not polished. It's not radio-friendly. It sounds like it was recorded in a basement with the lights off and the doors locked, and that's exactly the right vibe for what he's doing. There's menace in these tracks, but also humor.
Cleverness. A guy who knows exactly how good he is and isn't pretending otherwise.
Is it comfortable listening? Hell no. It's abrasive and confrontational and it doesn't care if you're enjoying yourself. But that's the point. This isn't background music. This is music that demands you pay attention. The three songs here are three middle fingers to anyone who ever doubted him, wrapped in a package that's messy and loud and absolutely alive.
I'll be honest, it's not for everyone. But for the people it's for? It's everything.
