Asthma affects 1 in 10 Tennesseans, but with the right tools and support, breathing easier and living fully is within reach. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or managing long-term symptoms, Tennessee offers free resources to help you thrive.


1. Tennessee Asthma Program The TN Department of Health provides free asthma action plans, education, and inhaler training. Call 615-741-3111 or visit TDH Asthma Resources to connect.


2. CDC’s National Asthma Control Program Access free guides on triggers, medications, and emergency care. Call 1-800-CDC-INFO (1-800-232-4636) or visit CDC Asthma Page.


3. Local Health Department Clinics All 95 counties offer free asthma screenings and spacer devices. Contact your county office (e.g., Davidson: 615-340-5616; Shelby: 901-222-9000).
