Clean Labels. Real Food. No Guessing. By Nancy Rich

You read the label. You know what's in it. That's it.

No "natural flavors." No cellulose gum. No sucralose. No chemicals you can't pronounce and wouldn't recognize if you saw them in a lab.

Here's the thing people don't realize: "Natural flavors" is a loophole. The FDA doesn't require companies to disclose what's actually in that catch-all term. It could be dozens of ingredients. You'll never know. And "clean" on a package? That's marketing. It's not a regulated term. Anyone can print it.

That's why reading the label matters. Not the front. The back. The ingredient list. If you can't pronounce it, you shouldn't be eating it.

As a Community Health Worker, I've seen what happens when people trust the packaging instead of the ingredients. I've also lived it, standing in my own kitchen, squinting at a label, realizing I had no idea what I was putting in my body.

That's when I made a change. I started using the Yuka app. I started reading every ingredient. I started choosing products where the label was short, honest, and made of real food.

Clean labels aren't a trend. They're a standard. And they're out there, you just have to look.

You have one life. So live it healthy.

Read the label. Try it now.
